To reveal the ancient face of the island and discover an old civilisation which has left behind one of the most important archaeological phenomena in the Mediterranean, we have created an interesting journey back in time to one of the best preserved archaeological sites in Gallura.
After a short trip, our guides will take you back in time to visit the Nuraghe La Prisgiona with its surrounding village built over three thousand years ago, together with the fascinating Giant’s Tombs, among the most representative monuments of Sardinian pre-history.
The Nuraghic culture, considered mysterious and still to be fully discovered even today, is a source of fantastic myths and legends and still provides new surprises every day.
This is a personalized and culturally themed tour which allows guests to visit some of the most interesting archaeological, historical, ethnographic and cultural sites to be found in the Gallura area, all the while travelling along spectacular panoramic routes.
It generally lasts about 4 hours with morning and afternoon departures. The route and type of visits can be personally selected according to preference, with meals and tastings available on request.
Archeotour – a tour of predominantly archaeological interest;
Ethnotour – a tour of predominantly ethnographic-cultural interest;
Granite tour – a tour of predominantly naturalistic interest.
On this excursion, which is highly recommended for those who want to discover the real Gallura and marvel at the incredible nature of the inland area, we suggest a particularly interesting itinerary which will take you right to the heart of this ancient region passing through gentle hills covered with the area’s famous granite rocks sculpted over millennia by the Mistral wind.
After having travelled through the luxuriant Gallura countryside, an open window on the 19th century and the culture of the “Stazzi” (small rural houses and farmsteads), we arrive at the historic centre of this granite region stopping for a visit to the charming little town of Luogosanto.
From here we continue to the hermitage of San Trano and its typical setting before crossing the splendid granite scenery of Monte Pulchiana towards Aggius where we will visit the Meoc, the largest ethnographic museum in Sardinia and the Banditry Museum, the only one in Italy. After an enjoyable open-air pause for a light – lunch we continue with a visit to the Nuraghe Maiori at Tempio Pausania, a witness to the Island’s incredible cultural heritage. During the tour a stop for tasting typical local products is planned together with comments from our expert local guides.
The excursion lasts about 7 hours.
The Sardinian coast is particularly rich of flora and fauna.
. If you are curious to see the crystal clear sea bottom of the Gallura waters with mask and snorkel, we suggest you take the Sea Safari, a fun guided tour which includes the observation of the marine ecosystem but also an active search of dolphins and other Mediterranean species.
The half-day excursion is carried out with a speedboat between Caprera Islands and Spargi with variations including visits to at least three islands and two stops for an entertaining swim.
Children must be accompanied by a minimum of one of their parents.
If you want to enjoy a romantic evening along the streets of the most jet-set town of the Costa Smeralda, we suggest you take our guided excursion to admire Porto Cervo, its surroundings and have a walk in peace and quiet while you admire the marina at sunset, the famous little square and the big name boutiques.
We suggest the Islands Mini Tour, if you want to spend half a day exploring La Maddalena Archipelago and return to the hotel in time for lunch and for the afternoon.
This excursion takes in a tour around some of the most attractive parts of our waters, with the option, depending on favourable weather conditions, of visiting at least three of the most beautiful islands in the North of Sardinia.
The pleasant trip is enhanced by two stops at some of the less-frequented areas of the National Park for an invigorating swim directly from the boat.
For those who want to have a swim in different settings, we suggest the Delphina Express.
A speed boat which sails every day to discover a new paradise. The half-day excursion allows you to reach different destinations in La Maddalena Archipelago and have a swim directly from the boat in crystal clear waters lapping pure white sandy beaches.
