Don’t miss this appointment with the Maxy Yacht Rolex Cup and the Rolex World Championship

The sailing season starts once more in September in Northern Sardinia on the beautiful waters of the Costa Smeralda and its “capital”, Porto Cervo. The upcoming races will be the perfect opportunity to enjoy the spectacle and enjoy a relaxing holiday in September on the coast of Sardinia.
The Hotel Capo d’Orso is located right in front of the mirror-like stretch of sea that hosts the Porto Cervo regattas, thus allowing you to enjoy the sight from your room or from the terrace bar. Thanks to the climate and the beauty and variety of landscapes, Sardinia still enjoys sunny days and the chance to relax on beaches to dream of, as well as the opportunity to immerse yourself in the frenzied atmosphere that characterizes these top class competitions between some of the most elegant and majestic sailing boats in the world.

Along with these challenges, there is a full calendar of related events that will attract not only owners and experienced crews from the world of racing, but enthusiasts and lovers of water sports. The setting is the La Maddalena Archipelago, the jewel of the Mediterranean, with exciting regattas between the coasts of Caprera, La Maddalena, Baja Sardinia and Porto Cervo.

From August 31st to September 6th, the glamorous setting of the Costa Smeralda and Porto Cervo hosts the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup & Mini Maxi Rolex World Championship which for over thirty years has seen the largest Maxi yachts in the world competing at the end of August. It continues with the Rolex Swan Cup & Swan 45 World Championship which from the 8th to the 14th of September will see the aggressive fleet of yachts from the Nautor’s Swan family. The regatta, sponsored by Rolex in partnership with Nautor’s Swan and the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, in 2014 celebrates thirty years of this important collaboration with a full calendar of events and side events.
